On the morning of October 19, Zhu Lisong, General Manager of Ningbo songmile Packaging Co., จำกัด. (2005 alumnus of Tourism Management), Xu Lei, President of Ningbo 1+1 Chamber of Commerce, Yu Zhongyang, Secretary General, and Guan Yifei, Human Resources Manager of songmile, went to the first conference hall of the conference center of Huajin Campus of Anhui Normal University to attend the signing ceremony of the “songmile Scholarship”. Zeng Liming, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Anhui Normal University, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Jiang Ning, Deputy Secretary General of the School Education Foundation, and Su Jun, Secretary, Jia Guanzhong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Geography and Tourism, Fang Fengman, Dean, and all members of the party and government leadership team, as well as Yin Shoubing, Director of the Tourism Management Department, and Zhang Wei, Deputy Director, attended the signing ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Fu Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Geography and Tourism.
Dean Zeng warmly welcomed General Manager Zhu and his delegation and praised General Manager Zhu’s honorable initiative of establishing scholarships at the institution. He briefly described the school’s basic situation and the School of Geography and Tourism’s development trend, emphasizing that student scholarships are a very important livelihood project as well as a heartwarming project that is critical to motivating students to study hard, carrying out the fundamental task of moral education, and promoting educational equity. Social donations are an essential component of the student aid system and serve an invaluable role in promoting education. It is hoped that the signing ceremony will provide an opportunity for the School of Geography and Tourism to improve donation management, strengthen publicity and education, strengthen ideological guidance, summarize experience, improve mechanisms, continue to strengthen student aid and social donations, and promote high-quality development of aid education.
Secretary-General Jiang extended heartfelt gratitude to General Manager Zhu on behalf of the school’s education foundation and praised our company’s charitable deed of donating to assist education. He emphasized that the school will closely monitor the use of funds, maximize the funding and educational impact of the “songmile Scholarship,” and support students’ progress, success, and development. He also offered an invitation to further strengthen school-enterprise collaboration and talent development.
Mr. Yu described the basic circumstances of the Ningbo 1+1 Chamber of Commerce, including its historical origins and unique relationship with Anhui Normal University. He thanked Anhui Normal University for providing a forum for communication and collaboration. He hoped that the two sides would extend their collaboration in talent training, student job internships, and other areas, as well as teach and guide students to strengthen their ideas and views, correctly grasp society, and grow and develop more.
President Zhu fondly remembered his time at the Normal University and stated that, as an alumnus, any accomplishments he has made are inextricably linked to his alma mater’s education and training. The founding of the “songmile Scholarship” is a gesture of gratitude to his alma school, as well as a genuine statement of social duty and concern for younger students. He expects that the students who receive the assistance would actively participate in public welfare and contribute back to society as they are able in the future. Starting this year, our company intends to donate RMB 200,000 per year as the “songmile Scholarship” to subsidize and reward students from low-income families who excel academically in the School of Geography and Tourism, as well as to help build and develop the tourism management major. The first part of the agreement is likely expected to last five years.
President Zhu and Secretary-General Jiang signed the donation acceptance agreement as representatives of both parties.
